Everybody knows that you’ve got to get your sleep. Sleep disturbances raise the risk of dying, but that’s about people with “sleep problems”, right? You’re thinking “he’s not talking about me”.
Well, maybe I am.
A study from 2012 reports that variations in sleep time, as well as time you go to sleep, can dramatically alter your body’s ability to regulate its sugar. And we know what that means -- over time you develop DIABETES. And in just one month’s time, the variation is sleep translated to a decrease in resting metabolic rate by an average of 8%. That translates almost directly into a 10 pound weight gain in a year without changing anything else!
The more REGULATED you can be with your sleep — the same time to bed, the same time to rise, the healthier you are likely to be. But MOM told us that years ago….
